Cape Agulhas Tour
Leaving the City, we take the N2 highway over the Sir Lowry’s Mountain Pass to the most southern tip of the African continent. Cape Agulhas (Cabo das Agulhas meaning “Cape of Needles”) based in the Western Cape, South Africa, where the official dividing line between the Indian and the Atlantic ocean can be found.
Highlights of the day:
• Taking the N2 Highway and over Sir Lowry’s Mountain Pass
• Coffee stop in Napier
• Driving through Struisbaai, Cape Agulhas and visiting the most southern
point of Africa, Cape Agulhas
• Climbing 72 steps up a 160 year old lighthouse(when open) overlooking
the rocky headland of Cape Agulhas
• On return we drive through Stanford and have and optional lunch in
Hermanus
• Land based whale watching can be done in walker bay (July to
November)
• On return we drive along Clarens Drive past Betty’s Bay and Pringle
Bay
• Return to Cape Town
