Hey Bucket Listers!...Now that we are all getting back to the sad reality of real life, I wanted to reach out and say a few things and ask for your help! Firstly, when I decided I wanted to go on an adventure like this, I couldn't find anything that catered to our unique needs, desires, and budgets. So this trip became my "baby" I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of such an awesome experience and for your patience with my inexperience. Since there are a number of people who wanted to go, but couldn't make it this trip, I have reached out to Sharmaine Naidoo. I think she proved herself to be vital in the success of our trip.

 

Since she is the professional, I am going to leave it up to her to plan future trips like this for people like us that dream of crossing this bucket list trip off of their dream list. She is working on it now. In the meantime, I wanted to ask my great team if you have any suggestions, criticisms, ideas that would be helpful to her in making sure the next generation of bucket listers have as memorable a trip as we did! ie: Is there anything you could've crossed off? Did you mind the crammed schedule? How did you find the guided tours with Ian and Sharmaine? Suggested restaurants to add to the itinerary as group dinners? Would you recommend the trip to friends/flying partners? Wine delivery to the hotel? (jus playing....but maybe not...lol)

 

Sharmaine will be monitoring your responses and I can't think of anyone better to carry on the tradition that you guys helped me start! I miss you all dearly and still wake up every morning with a touch of sadness when I realize we won't be climbing in a van together, packing roadies, making dinner plans, and group face booking in the lobby....Until next time, Bucket Listers, be safe! Thank you so much for all you did for our group these two weeks. It was

truly a once in a lifetime experience and couldn't have done it all without

you. You and Ian truly gave our group your heart and soul into being there

night and day, from you waiting for us at whatever location our event of the

day was happening even if we were hours late to Ian running up Table

Mountain in his Sunday best shoes to help carry one of our men down when he

got hurt. I will definitely recommend you to any of my friends who plan to

come to SA. Thanks for helping us check off an item on our bucket list!

I've been to Cape Town in January with my friend Germano, and I want to say what a nice pleasure getting to know you!!! You are such a nice being! Thank you so much for being our tour guide and for your so helping hand on our staying! We are absolutely sure that our visit to Cape Town wouldn't have been the same in case we haven't met you!

 

Shame, shame, shame on us we haven't had a picture together... a pity...Ah, remember the place here in Brazil we told you 'must' visit? Yes, it is called "Lençóis Maranhenses"; just Google for it.

In the past, I had blind faith in your abilities, but now, I actually know that my faith was not blind at all. Vivacious, classy, efficient and  hospitable, just a few words to describe Sharmaine. I can't believe how much I got to do in 3 days all due to excellent planning and expertise. I have fallen in love with South African and feel as if Cape Town is a home away from home.

 

The only way my holiday could have been better is to have increased the length of stay. I look forward to coming back. It is so reassuring to have a great contact to plan my next visit.
