Whale Watching in Hermanus

The Southern Right Whale makes their way to the Cape shoreline between July and November annually and they come so close that visitors can watch them from their hotels. Hermanus is one of the world's centers for whale watching and this town has employed a “whale crier” to walk through the town announcing where the whales have been spotted.

 

 

Highlights of the day:

 

• Gordons Bay, Pringle Bay along Clarens Drive

• a Visit to the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens in Betty's Bay

• Land based whale watching can be done in Walker Bay

• Optional boat trip can be done from the harbor in Hermanus

• A scenic drive up Rotary Drive to get an aerial view of Hermanus

• Return back to Cape Town via Botrivier, Grabouw and Elgin
