The West Coast National Park, which covers just over 32 000ha is full of unique and diverse habitats with its large breeding populations of sea birds, the rocky and sandy dunes, the parabolic coastal dunes and with the lowland fynbos communities. It was established in 1985 with the aim of conserving the Langebaan Lagoon surrounding landscapes and it is of international and national importance in respect of both terrestrial and marine life.

• Enter the gate at the West Coast National Park

• Driving the round trip in the park with the first stop at the Atlantic view

  point

• Enter the Postberg Park with a hike up at Plankies Baai

• Postberg view point overlooking the Langebaan Lagoon

• Visitors center with an option for lunch at the Geelbek Restaurant

• Viewing the bird species such as flamingo’s and back harriers

• Return to Cape Town
